What is the difference between Valk Store, Valk at Home, Valk shop and Valk for Home?
Valk Store was established by Van der Valk Service Center and sells recognizable Van
der Valk products, which are used in at least 40% of Van der Valk hotels.
Valk at Home is also called Valk Design, they focus on especially in furnishing hotels, but also businesses or private individuals. The design products they use for this are sold in their webshop.
Valk Shop
falls under Valk International and is exclusively engaged in supermarkets actions.
Valk for Home has products that are mainly in Valk Exclusive hotels.
What are the current discount promotions?
At Valk Store, we always guarantee luxury hotel quality at a good price. Our main mission is to make the ultimate hotel experience available to everyone. To achieve this, there are occasional discount promotions. An overview of all current promotions can be found on the page with terms and conditions . These often have a short duration and apply to a part of our assortment.

How can I return my order?
Are you not satisfied with the delivered product? Below you will find our return conditions per product.
General conditions
- The item has not been used, slept on, or damaged.
- The item must be in its original packaging.
- The shipping costs for returning a package are at your own expense. These are €4.95 for regular products. For Special Bargains you pay €6.95. Returns from abroad cost €7.95.
- Returns are possible within 14 days after delivery.
Beds, mattresses, and toppers
Our beds, mattresses, and toppers are put into production after the order is placed, which means it is not possible to return these products. If the bed or bed parts have any defects, you can contact the support department of Valk Store via support@valkstore.nl, 088-0246333 or fill in the contact form.
Exchanges
It is not possible to exchange the order. If you would like a different product, you can return your order (provided you meet the return conditions) and then place a new order.
Return packages that have not been registered cannot be processed. Also, the address listed on our website is not suitable for returns or visits.
If you meet the return conditions, you can contact us via the contact form. You will then receive a message with additional information including the return label. The amount (excluding the return costs) will be refunded to your account after we have received the return shipment.

How can I sign up for trial sleeping?
Would you like to buy a bed but are unsure if it meets your requirements? You can choose to try sleeping in one of our Van der Valk hotels. You can submit the trial sleep request via
support@valkstore.nlor fill in thecontact form in.
When you go for a trial sleep, you can book the available rates and packages through the website of the respective hotel. You will receive the trial sleep discount when you book at one of the hotels from the list below, regardless of the package, date of stay, or room type. If you have booked an overnight stay at one of these hotels, please provide us with the reservation number in advance so that we can inform the hotel. If you wish to purchase the bed after your stay, you will receive part of the overnight stay back in the form of a €100 discount on the beds. The trial sleep discount is not valid in combination with other discount codes.

I saw a piece of furniture in a Van der Valk Hotel, where can I buy it?
Is the desired item not available in the Valk Store? Because the hotels
self-managing, they choose their own suppliers. For this reason, we recommend
to get in direct contact with the hotel.

Why have I only received part of my order?
When an order has been placed with multiple products, it may be that these
are shipped from different suppliers and for this reason not
will be delivered together. You will receive a track & trace link to follow the order.
I have a full loyalty card from a supermarket/gas station. Where can I redeem it?

I have received a discount code, but the code does not work in the shopping cart.

How can I use the 5% sign-up discount?
You will receive your unique 5% discount code when you sign up for the Valk Store newsletter. After you have received the discount code, you can enter it on the payment page. For custom-made items, it may happen that one of the components is not immediately available. In that case, we will contact you as soon as possible.

What is the delivery time of the bed?
Relax, we’ve got it covered. Your new Van der Valk box spring includes free home delivery and professional assembly in your bedroom. We take care of the heavy lifting so you can start enjoying your new bed immediately.

Are there fabric samples available to view the fabrics and colors?
Yes, we offer a fabric sample service to help you make your decision. We recommend that before you order a bed, mattress, or topper, or approve a quote, you use our fabric sample service so you can be sure of the color you are ordering. There may be color differences between the images on the Valk Store and the actual fabric. All information about the fabric sample service can be found here.
If you do not use the fabric sample service,
comments about color differences between the delivered product and your
expectations based on the image cannot be processed. This also applies
to color differences that may be caused by lighting or
other environmental factors.
What is the warranty policy for the beds?
Our beds, mattresses, and toppers are produced after ordering, which means it is not possible to return these products. If your bed or bed components have any defects, you can contact the support department of Valk Store.
If defects occur, the following CBM
provisions apply:
- For complaints identified within one year of purchase due to manufacturing defects, we offer a full warranty.
- Within 2 years from the date of purchase, 2/3 of the repair and/or replacement costs are covered by us; within 3 years, this is 1/3.
- The warranty only applies if the item has been used correctly. Damage caused by moisture and normal wear and tear are not covered by the warranty.
We recommend that before you order a bed, mattress, or topper, or approve a quote, you use our fabric sample service so you can be sure of the color you are ordering. There may be a color difference between the images on Valk Store and the actual fabric. You can find all information about the fabric sample service here.

What are the dimensions of the bed?
The bed components have different dimensions, as listed below:
- Bed legs: 6 centimeters (option for alternative bed legs)
- Box spring: 30 centimeters
- Mattress: 20 centimeters
- Topper: 10 centimeters
- Headboard height: 110 centimeters
- Headboard width: 10 centimeters extra from the bed
- Complete standard bed: 66 centimeters
Can the headboard be made in any desired size?
Yes, the headboard can be made the same width as the bed. Please send us your order number so we can arrange with the supplier to have the headboard made the same width as the bed.
It is also possible to have the headboard delivered in two parts. This involves an additional charge of €125,-. You will receive a separate invoice for this.
What if the bed and headboard do not fit through the stairwell?
Headboard does not fit through the stairwell?
If the headboard cannot be brought inside via the stairwell, the supplier will need to take it back to modify it into a two-piece headboard. A new appointment will then be scheduled for delivery and installation. Additional costs apply, which will be invoiced separately. (These costs may be higher than if a two-piece headboard had been selected at the time of ordering the bed.)
Our supplier delivers the headboard exclusively via the stairwell and not through a window.
Bed does not fit through the stairwell?
If the bed cannot be brought upstairs via the stairwell, it will be delivered to the ground floor only. In that case, the owner is responsible for moving the bed upstairs and assembling it.

Is it possible to choose 2 x single toppers in the set, instead of 1 x double topper?
Yes, it is possible to choose a single-person topper twice in the set, in

Do the beds have storage space?
No, in our webshop we sell the beds as they can also be found in our hotels, so without storage space. If you are interested in a bed with storage space, please contact us via the contact form

What is the firmness of the mattress?
The standard of our mattresses is medium firmness. If you want a firm variant, this is possible at no extra cost. Provide your specifications and order number to us via the contact form or via support@valkstore.nl.
What is the weight class of the mattress?
We recommend our medium mattresses for up to 120 kilos. From 120 kilos onwards, we advise using our firm mattresses. If you want a firm variant, this is possible at no extra cost. Provide your specifications and order number to us via the contact form or via support@valkstore.nl.
Is the mattress available in a firm version?

Are the mattresses also comfortable without a topper?
Yes, the mattresses are comfortable without a topper. However, we always recommend choosing a topper for extra protection of your bed and mattress. Upholstered mattresses cannot be used without a topper.
How many pocket springs does the mattress have?
The mattresses in the webshop have 275 pocket springs per square meter. The difference in firmness comes from the foam used in the mattresses. Check this page for all product specifications.
Is the mattress available in sizes other than those offered in the webshop?
Yes, it is possible to order a mattress in other sizes that are available in the webshop. Do you have special requests or unusual sizes? Please contact us via the contact form, and we will explore the options with you.
What is the function of a topper, do I need one?
A topper provides protection for your bed and mattress, and also offers extra sleeping comfort. A topper is not necessary, but it is recommended for the ultimate hotel experience.
Is this topper suitable for a bed with an adjustable base?
No, we do not have split toppers available in our webshop. For this reason, a double topper is not suitable for a bed with an adjustable base. It is, of course, possible to use two single toppers.
What kind of filling does the topper have?
The topper has a cold foam filling and fits very well on the pocket spring mattresses from our webshop.

How long does a topper last?
A topper can last up to 7 years. Of course, it depends on how often it is flipped and turned. We recommend flipping the topper weekly to maintain its quality.

I have slept in a Van der Valk Hotel, is this the same pillow?
It is difficult to determine exactly which pillow you used during your stay, as each hotel has different types of pillows in circulation. The medium pillows currently available in our webshop are widely used in most Van der Valk hotels and are known for their high quality. Are the main pillows suitable for side sleepers?
For back sleepers, a pillow with medium firmness is ideal. This keeps the neck and head aligned with the spine, which helps prevent back problems. Side sleepers often need a thicker pillow that fills the space between the head and shoulders, ensuring the neck remains properly aligned.

Can I wash the pillow?
Yes, some of the main pillows from Van der Valk are washable. Most pillows come with a cover that is washable at 40 degrees. This applies to the soft, medium, and firm pillows from the Valk Store. However, it is always advisable to check the specific washing instructions on the pillow's label, as this is the best way to properly care for the pillow.
Duvets
What is the difference between the duvets?
In the Valk Store you will find 2 different types:
4-Season Duvet 2-piece: This duvet consists of two separate parts: a summer part and an autumn part. These parts can easily be fastened together with snap buttons, making the whole suitable for use as a winter duvet.
Ecodown Synthetic Down Duvet: This duvet is filled with synthetic down, which ensures excellent quality. It is often found in hotels. It "rustles" slightly, as many people describe it, but it fits well around the body. It is slightly heavier than the Suite duvet, but offers a comfortable and luxurious sleeping experience.
Which duvet is used in the Van der Valk hotels?
It is difficult to determine exactly which duvet you used during your stay, as different types of duvets are in circulation at each hotel. The duvets currently available in our webshop are widely used in most Van der Valk hotels and are known for their high quality. - The item has not been used, slept in, or damaged.
- The item must be in its original packaging.
- The shipping costs for returning a package are at your own expense. These amount to €4.95 for regular products. For affordable bargains you pay €6.95. Returns from abroad cost €7.95.
- Returns are possible within 14 days after delivery.
Exchange
It is not possible to exchange the order. If you want a different product, you can return your order (provided you meet the return conditions) and then place a new order.
Return packages that have not been registered cannot be processed. Also, the address mentioned on our website is not suitable for returns and visits.
If you meet the return conditions, you can contact us via the contact form. You will then receive a message with additional information including the return label. The amount (excluding return costs) will be refunded to your account after we have received the return shipment.
